Knew this wouldn't taste as good since it was delivery but it was great. The KFC was a tad soggy but still had a good crunch from the breading and was juicy. The spicy sauce with it wasn't spicy but was flavorful. The banchan was fine, really only liked the bean sprouts and cucumbers. The chicken galbi lowkey had some heat but was juicy just like the wings. Veggies with it were solid too and plenty of liquid to soak up the massive amount of rice. The pork wasn't as spicy as the chicken but was tender and flavorful. Ordered again the following week but got the beef bulgogi and tteok bok ki. Beef was sweet but not my favorite bulgogi. Tteok bok ki is a favorite of mine but I prefer a more simpler version of just sauce and rice cakes.

Kim's home cooking is low key the best Korean restaurant in Chicago! The side dishes are all fresh! I will say the spicy vegetable pork dish was as good as it was in Korea! And the spicy chicken wings are amazing here! If you get a chance check Kim's home cooking out! You will not be disappointed! The service is great the staff really help you out with the best options on the menu! The ambiance made me feel like I was in Korea when you are seated in the restaurant! On a side note there is free parking so it makes it even better!

Home cooking isn't the restaurant name for no reason! I loved coming here, everything was made fresh and tasted delicious. Recovering from a cold, I ordered the Yuk Gae Jang and I swear it healed me. This is the perfect place for hot soup on cold, rainy days. Cant wait to come back!

Wow! Yelp helped me find this place because I was craving some rice cakes. Everything was so delicious!!! It was my first time trying the cold noodles and they were marked wheat free on the menu and this was my favorite thing! Service is very kind and the interior is clean and simple. Bimbap was also so good, we all agreed this was the best japchae we've ever had. Noted I am not Korean, but I've travelled to South Korea before and this food is very authentic. The rice cakes had a more onion forward flavor, but we liked it a lot. Would recommend!

If you're looking for a place for home-y, Korean comfort food, Kim's is where it's at. Don't expect any sort of ambiance bc you won't get any. The banchan is good and the kimchi tasted like my mom's. I ordered the dolsot bibimbap which was well portioned and flavorful (gotta love that crispy rice). We also ordered the Kalbi tang and also the Korean popcorn chicken. Can I just say, $9.99 for popcorn chicken is a steal, and that plate alone could have fed three people. My boyfriend took his Kalbi tang leftovers home and said it tasted even better the next day. Even though there was only one person working as a server, the wait time was minimal. This was our first time dining in so I'm not sure how many people are working typically but I did feel bad for the one worker and made sure to tip well.
